In 2023, the West Coast Men's & Mixed Netball Association is hosting the Australian Mens & Mixed Netball Association Championships for the first time since 2007. This is such an exciting time for the sport in Western Australia, across the country and internationally. The championships will run between the 9th and 15th of April 2023 at Bendat Basketball Centre.
You may not be aware, but that all athletes participating, both in WA and across the country, are self-funding to participate in these championships. WCMMNA is an organisation that relies solely on participant contributions to fulfil its hosting obligations. The organising committee has embarked on several initiatives to reduce the costs for participants and to deliver a first-class product.
How can you help?
We are asking the WA Netball Community to help us fund several aspects of the tournament, each initiative can be seen listed below.
1. "Buy a Ball" The 'Buy a Ball' program has been launched and asks participating Clubs or Associations to pay anywhere from $60 - $89 for a ball that will be used during the championships. In return, we will thank those participating Clubs and Associations through our live stream platform of the championships and on our various social media platforms.
2. "Most Valuable Player Awards"
Similar to our 'Buy a Ball' program, this initiative will ask for individuals, businesses, Clubs or Associations to sponsor the commentator selected MVP award on each streamed game of the championships. Donations of $70 - $100+ will receive in return a thank you through our social media platforms and a mention as "(Insert sponsor name's) MVP award" on a per-game (streamed games only) basis.
3. Medal Sponsor
Our third initiative is for the medals used at the championships, where we are asking individuals, businesses, clubs, or associations to sponsor between $120 and $200 to cover the cost of a set of medals. In return, we will be able to provide a thank you through social media platforms, and mention as (insert division) championship medals, proudly sponsored by "(Insert sponsor name)" on a per-division basis.
4. "Sponsor a court"
Finally, similar to our 'Buy a Ball' program, our court sponsors will ask for individuals, businesses, Clubs, or Associations to support the cost of court hire for the championships. Sponsorship amounts of $250+ will help to reduce the costs of court hire for the championships. In return, this level sponsor will receive promotion and thank you through social media platforms, and mention as "(Insert sponsor name's) court 1" on a per-day basis.
